For the last four weeks the Mission Hill School (MHS) Summer Program has been exploring different places around Jamaica Plain - the community around our school.

We came up with the idea to visit surrounding indoor and outdoor spaces and create a blog that would be useful to the whole MHS community in the coming school year. This blog is intended to be a helpful resource to teachers, classrooms and families of MHS and anyone else!
With Joel, Jenerra and Cindy as our guides, we had really cool experiences!
On this blog there is a page for each place we visited and work we did together. Click on each page to get more information!
We had morning meeting everyday. We did different activities to bring us together as a community like play the game in the above pictures called "spider web".
We planted flower seeds and beans and charted their growth.
We discussed together what our blog would look like.
We went outside every afternoon. Sometimes we went to the playground, the rocket park or the basketball courts.
